Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Ponjev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Peter Parker has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ponjev tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
An inside leg kick from Parker misses.

Parker closes the distance and clinches.

Parker breaks from the clinch.
Parker lands a nice shot that snaps Ponjev's head back.
Parker throws a sloppy head kick and Ponjev moves out of range easily.
Ponjev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Parker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ponjev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parker.

Parker tries to keep at a distance but Ponjev has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ponjev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Parker on his heels. He'll look to pass Parker's guard now, I'm sure.
Parker wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ponjev manages to pass to side control.

Parker wants to control but Ponjev is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Ponjev throws a strike but Parker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ponjev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ponjev has a closed guard, preventing Parker from standing up.
Ponjev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ponjev is looking to sweep but instead, Parker has passed into half guard.
Parker wants to get back to his feet.

Parker is controlling the pace.
Parker seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ponjev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parker tries to pass to full mount but Ponjev defends it.

Ponjev moves in looking to clinch but Parker pushes him off.
Parker turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ponjev.
Donk. Parker catches Ponjev right on the button with a cross.
Parker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ponjev misses with an uppercut.

Peter Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker scores with a sloppy right hand. Ponjev should have avoided that one.
Ponjev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Parker.

Parker lands with a hook. Ponjev tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ponjev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Some bone on bone action there as Ponjev checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ponjev avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ponjev changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Parker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Parker uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Peter Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Parker.
Ponjev doesn't manage to clinch there - Parker circles away.
Ponjev tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ponjev somewhat.

Parker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ponjev can do to turn this around?

Parker looks to land a combination but Ponjev avoids it well.
Parker throws a leg kick but Ponjev sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Parker closes the distance and pushes Ponjev back into the cage.

and Ponjev counters with a single leg into guard. Parker didn't expect that.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Parker is on top in guard.

Oh but Ponjev is tightening it up a little... Parker has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Parker reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Parker taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ponjev!
