Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Monday Blues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight as his entrance music. The key to victory for Monday Blues has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson moves into range and clinches up with Blues.

Blues tries to throw a body punch but Johnson avoids it by throwing Blues back against the cage.
Blues swings wildly with an uppercut but Johnson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Blues lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Johnson blocks an uppercut.
Johnson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blues is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A head punch on the inside from Blues fails to land.
Blues lands with a right to the head.
Blues throws a head punch that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blues tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Johnson jumps guard but Blues stands there with Johnson around his waist. Johnson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Monday Blues has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Johnson.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Blues ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Johnson is trying to push Blues away but Blues has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Johnson is working for takedown but Blues is calmly controlling the position for now.
Blues manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson drops back looking for a leg! Blues is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Blues manages to kick Johnson off! Johnson jumps back into Blues's guard.

Blues is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Johnson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Blues throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Johnson on the side of the head.

Johnson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Blues is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well.
Blues is trying to hold Johnson in close to prevent damage but Johnson has managed to pass into half guard.
Johnson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
We've been informed that Johnson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Johnson moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Blues has worked his arm free - good work by Blues!
Blues sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Blues has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though.
Blues tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Blues is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard.
Johnson is thwarting Blues's attempts to control the position.
Johnson wants to free his trapped foot but Blues is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Blues looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Johnson pushes past his half guard into mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
