PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kazunori Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishii comes to the cage accompanied by Imagine Dragons - Radioactive . The crowd seem to be enjoying Alves's choice of entrance music: Guerreiro by Curumin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kazunori Ishii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guilherme Alves!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishii paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ishii slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ishii throws a body shot but no joy.
Alves drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Ishii defends it well.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ishii lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Alves has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Alves and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ishii throws a low kick but it's checked well by Alves.
Ishii throws a jab but it's blocked by Alves.
Ishii throws a chopping leg kick but Alves manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ishii. Alves does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ishii swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The crowd cheers as Ishii lands an impressive looking overhand right. Alves doesn't seem phased though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ishii misses the shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Alves.
Ishii with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alves's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ishii connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alves scrambles back to his feet.
Ishii drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A jab from Ishii finds it's way through Alves's defenses.

Alves is rocked!
A combination from Ishii does no damage.
Ishii misses with a wild combination.
Ishii lands with a nice combination. Alves backs away looking to recover.
Alves is still on wobbly legs! Can Ishii finish him?
Sloppy strikes from Ishii. Those never looked like landing.
Ishii throws an overhand right that drops Alves like a sack of potatoes! Ishii dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
