Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Barack Obama!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Obama closes the distance and clinches.

You can see the frustration on Njewel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Obama is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Njewel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Obama stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Njewel moves into the clinch.
Obama is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Njewel is defending well.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Obama.
Njewel feinted with a counter takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Njewel drives through and clinches with Obama against the cage.
Njewel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Obama's efforts to push away.
Obama is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Njewel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barack Obama dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Njewel throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Njewel controls Obama momentarily but Obama frees himself.

and Njewel counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Njewel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Njewel is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Obama will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
