Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Butcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Holden Easterly!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butcher scores with a sloppy right hand. Easterly should have avoided that one.


It looks like Holden Easterly has been cut.

Easterly shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Butcher is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Westside Martial Arts that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Butcher is controlling Easterly's trapped leg to prevent Easterly from advancing to side control.

Easterly is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Butcher defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Easterly is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Butcher has managed to free his arm - good work.
Easterly prevents Butcher from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Butcher gets full guard.
Easterly preventing the sweep.
Easterly engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Easterly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Easterly drops back looking for a leg! Butcher is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Butcher manages to kick Easterly off! Easterly jumps back into Butcher's guard.
Easterly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Butcher is keeping the position for now.
Easterly sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Butcher's guard.
Butcher is looking for a sweep. Easterly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Easterly is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Butcher sees it coming and defends easily.
Butcher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Butcher tries to get out of the position.

Easterly seems to be looking for submissions.

Easterly is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Butcher is just riding it out for now. Easterly eventually gives up the hold.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Butcher is looking to improve his position.
Easterly is trying to control. Butcher wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Easterly looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Butcher is controlling Easterly's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Butcher moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Easterly trying to control but Butcher is working from the bottom.

Easterly drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Butcher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Easterly has Butcher in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Easterly working for a triangle but Butcher defends it easily.

Easterly is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Butcher defends well.
Butcher is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Butcher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Easterly has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Butcher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Butcher trying to control the position from guard on top but Easterly is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Easterly throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Easterly is looking for a triangle but Butcher pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holden Easterly dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Holden Easterly's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Easterly looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Easterly shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Butcher but Butcher pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A little feinted left hand from Butcher on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Butcher scores with a head kick.
Easterly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Butcher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Easterly walks straight into a right hand from Butcher - that's dropped him! Butcher jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Easterly from any more punishment! Easterly complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Billy Butcher!
Billy Butcher gave a mention to MMA Hype Apparel in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
