The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makovsky closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Arvo Penaali has been cut.
Penaali looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Penaali looks to land a combination but Makovsky avoids it well.
Penaali works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Makovsky shoots in for a double leg but Penaali sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Penaali uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Makovsky has time to react.
Penaali misses with a two punch combination.
Makovsky drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Penaali defends it well.
Makovsky lands a nice hook to Penaali's body. Penaali takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Makovsky is trying to force a seperation but Penaali has the dominant position.

Makovsky is trying to trip Penaali. He has hold of a leg but Penaali is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Makovsky persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Penaali tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Penaali has a hand on Makovsky's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Makovsky takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Arvo Penaali's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Makovsky postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Penaali looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Makovsky cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jeez, Arvo Penaali's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Arvo Penaali's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

In his post fight interview, Zach Makovsky started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
