The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon misses with an uppercut.
Gordon shoots for a takedown but Kvasov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kvasov tries to counter with a clinch but Gordon shakes him off and moves away.
Kvasov tries to close the distance and clinch but Gordon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gordon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gordon digs a good hook to Kvasov's body.
Gordon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gordon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gordon tests Kvasov's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Gordon throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kvasov stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Gordon follows into mount!

Kvasov is rocked!

It looks like Roman Kvasov has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gordon postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Kvasov in real trouble here! The ref calls for Kvasov to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
