Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kano Hokichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stevie Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kano Hokichi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hokichi counters with a stiff right hand.
Hokichi throws an off balance right hand
and Ray counters with a nice uppercut.
Hokichi throws a leg kick
letting Ray counter with a right hand.
Hokichi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hokichi.
Hokichi only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Hokichi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Hokichi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ray blocks a leg kick.
Hokichi misses with a kick to the body
letting Ray counter with a right hand.
Ray looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hokichi is looking to score with low kicks.
A jab from Hokichi misses.
Ray avoids the head kick by Hokichi.
Hokichi throws a leg kick that is checked
and Ray connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hokichi is rocked!
Ray shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Hokichi takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Ray sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Hokichi bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
