Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Matt Hunt has been cut.
A slow jab from Hunt misses its intended target.
Hunt avoids the head kick by Barrett.
Barrett jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barrett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Barrett doesn't manage to clinch there - Hunt circles away.
Hunt has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Barrett throws a looping overhand right but Hunt ducks down to avoid it.
Hunt keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Barrett.
Hunt cracks Barrett with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Hunt displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Barrett throws out the jab.
Hunt fires out a quick counter leg kick but Barrett just manages to avoid it.
Hunt walks into a jab.
Barrett fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hunt checks it well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A lazy left from Hunt finds it's target.
Barrett ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Barrett drops Hunt with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hunt looks back up at him and smiles so Barrett waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Hunt is rocked!
Hunt circles away from the clinch attempt.
Barrett gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hunt.
It looks like Jeremy Barrett has been cut.
Barrett connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Oh Hunt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Matt Hunt's cut is getting worse.
Barrett looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Hunt seems to have got his legs back now.
Hunt lands with an overhand left.
Hunt doesn't manage to clinch there - Barrett circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Barrett throws a nice inside leg kick.
Barrett fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hunt is out of range.
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A leg kick checked by Hunt.
Barrett misses with an uppercut. Hunt saw that one coming.
Barrett sends Hunt crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Barrett is motioning to the referee to let Hunt up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Barrett throws a jab when Hunt was well out of range.
Barrett throws a looping overhand right but Hunt ducks down to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A jab from Barrett misses.
Barrett takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hunt get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Hunt stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Barrett runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jeremy Barrett!
