Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bailey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Salinas!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey throws a shot from downtown. Salinas moves away and avoids it.
Bailey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Salinas takes one to the chin there.
Bailey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Salinas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Salinas jabs Bailey to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Salinas misses with a wild combination.
Salinas cracks Bailey with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bailey throws a lazy body kick
and Salinas counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bailey cracks Salinas with an open hand slap.
Bailey looks to land a combination but Salinas avoids it well.
Salinas misses with a two punch combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bailey throws a body punch but Salinas moves out of range.
Bailey walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Salinas cracks Bailey with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bailey throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bailey closes the distance looking to clinch
and Salinas counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bailey lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Bailey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Salinas dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bailey throws a low kick, looking for Salinas's leg but Salinas calmly moves out of range.
Salinas looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Salinas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bailey on the side of the head.

Salinas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bailey doesn't seem bothered though.
Bailey is looking to clinch but Salinas is avoiding it.
Bailey throws a low kick but it's checked well by Salinas.
Joe Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Salinas counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bailey's knee momentarily.

It seemed like Salinas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Bailey tries to clinch up but Salinas circles away and keeps his distance.
Salinas unleashes a big counter combination but Bailey bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Salinas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bailey on the side of the head.

Bailey just misses with a punch to the body.
Salinas checks a low kick from Bailey.
Salinas connects with a body shot.
Salinas has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Salinas throws a big shot that misses.

Bailey throws out a leg kick but Salinas moves out of range and Bailey only half commits.
Bailey throws a right hand that Salinas ducks under and follows up with a left that Salinas also avoids with ease.
Salinas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bailey moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bailey scores with a one two! Salinas had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Salinas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bailey throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bailey is looking to wear down Salinas with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Salinas ducks under a wild hook from Bailey.
Bailey misses the shot to the body.
Bailey swings widly with a right hand
letting Salinas counter with a right hand.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bailey looks to clinch
and Salinas counters with a series of strikes. Bailey will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bailey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Salinas looks to land a left hand but Bailey moved out of range nicely.

Bailey tries to close the distance and clinch but Salinas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oh Bailey is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Salinas takes one to the side of the head.
Bailey seems to have got his legs back now.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Salinas in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salinas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Bailey throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Salinas to counter with a crisp jab.
Bailey misses with a combination
and Salinas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bailey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Salinas lands a big right hook! Bailey looks hurt but is still standing! Salinas lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Bailey falls down and Salinas dives in with a huge hammer fist! Bailey's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Salinas runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
