The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elwood throws a series of punches but Beattie avoids them all with ease.
Beattie is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Elwood dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Beattie. That did some damage!

We've been informed that Beattie has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

and Beattie counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Beattie looks at the referee who does nothing so Beattie lands a crushing right that sends Elwood to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
