Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evil Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Gael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gael has chosen Shinedown - Sound Of Madness as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gael throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Nixon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gael rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nixon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gael has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gael moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Gael's corner calls for a 1-2. Gael obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gael checks a leg kick.

Gael shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Nixon jabs at Gael's body.
Gael throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nixon's waist but Nixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gael off to one side.
Evil Nixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eugene Gael.
Nixon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gael doesn't seem bothered though.
Gael lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

I was talking to Nixon's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Evil Nixon will probably get the nod.

Nixon cracks Gael with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Nixon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gael to stand back up!

Nixon throws an overhand right that drops Gael like a sack of potatoes! Nixon dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
