Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Romulus Fietsora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Stark is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fietsora pinned against the cage. Fietsora gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Stark gets a takedown into half guard.
Stark wants to control but Fietsora is keeping him busy.
Fietsora tries to roll over but Stark keeps him under control.
Stark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fietsora keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stark is thwarting Fietsora's attempts to control the position.

Fietsora is looking for a sweep. Stark is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Fietsora fires out a quick counter leg kick but Stark just manages to avoid it.

Stark misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fietsora was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Fietsora doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Fietsora breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Stark moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Brandon Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fietsora wants to clinch up but Stark keeps it at a distance.
Fietsora throws a jab when Stark was well out of range.
Fietsora uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stark.

Stark chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fietsora can pounce on him.
Fietsora misses with an uppercut. Stark saw that one coming.
Stark fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fietsora manages to avoid it.
Romulus Fietsora is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Fietsora counters by moving into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fietsora gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stark is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fietsora changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Stark throws the left hand but Fietsora avoids the punch easily.
Fietsora fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stark wants to counter the offense by Fietsora and move into the clinch position.

Stark shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fietsora's guard.

Fietsora has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stark seems to have recovered his senses.
Fietsora breaks from Stark's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Stark is in all sorts of trouble here.

Fietsora takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fietsora cracks Stark with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stark wants to hold on but Fietsora pushes him away.

Fietsora postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Stark in real trouble here! The ref calls for Stark to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
