The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Dzoker tenderised McHale's leg. McHale is trying to keep his angry face on.
Dzoker stuffs the takedown.
Dzoker is looking for a counter combo.

Dzoker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McHale sprawls well initially but Dzoker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dzoker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McHale tries to get to full guard but Dzoker has control of the leg.

McHale is staying active underneath Dzoker, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McHale wants to improve his position but Dzoker is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dzoker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dzoker winds up and cracks McHale with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Dzoker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dzoker wants to control but McHale is keeping him busy.
Dzoker seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
McHale is trying to get back to full guard.

Dzoker is looking for a kimura but McHale is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dzoker to get the leverage.

Dzoker is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McHale tries to roll over but Dzoker keeps him under control.

McHale is looking for a sweep. Dzoker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That has opened up Beaumont McHale's cut even more.

The cut above Beaumont McHale's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Dzoker lands a big elbow - McHale is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Dzoker!
