Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathaniel Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rogers!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong shoots in but no luck this time.
Rogers is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Rogers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Armstrong is trying to defend but Rogers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Armstrong is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Rogers knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Rogers for a finish.

We've been hearing reports that Armstrong has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Armstrong is trying to trip Rogers. He has hold of a leg but Rogers is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Armstrong persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Rogers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Armstrong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rogers has managed to get both his arms back between Armstrong's legs - danger averted.

Armstrong throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rogers escapes and throws Armstrong's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Armstrong is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rogers pulls his head out easily.

A close round but Sam Rogers will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Rogers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Armstrong did well to prevent Rogers getting side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Armstrong is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Rogers is tapping! Great win for Armstrong!
