Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Rumlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kabal Labak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Rumlow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kabal Labak!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Labak gets tackled into the cage by Rumlow. Rumlow maintains the clinch.
Labak is working for takedown but Rumlow is calmly controlling the position for now.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rumlow.
Rumlow definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Rumlow prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rumlow misses with a punch to the body.

Brock Rumlow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kabal Labak.
Rumlow throws a punch but it's blocked by Labak.

Labak feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rumlow's calf.
Rumlow tries a low kick but Labak avoids it.
Rumlow throws a lazy right hand but Labak sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Rumlow counters with a nice kick to the body.

A little jabbing left from Labak on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Labak has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Rumlow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Labak was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Labak swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And Rumlow counters with a quick kick to the body but Labak blocks it.

Rumlow darts in and clinches Labak up against the cage.

Labak lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Labak seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rumlow wants to control but Labak is keeping busy.
Rumlow is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Labak scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rumlow is positioning himself well to prevent Labak advancing to mount.
Labak not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rumlow wants to improve his position but Labak is controlling well.

Labak seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rumlow does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rumlow holds on and takes a little breather.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Labak stays in close to Rumlow's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rumlow fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Labak on the side of the head.
Rumlow jabs Labak to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rumlow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Labak shoots in and drives through. Rumlow sprawls well.
Rumlow fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Labak checks it well.
Rumlow scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rumlow throws a series of punches but Labak moves out of range.
Rumlow fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Labak has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rumlow throws a sloppy head kick and Labak moves out of range easily.
Labak throws a body shot but no joy.
Rumlow looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Labak takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Rumlow dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Labak throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rumlow bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Labak's head backwards.
Labak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Labak throws a sloppy head kick
and Rumlow counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Labak connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rumlow misses with a head kick.
Labak wants to clinch.
Rumlow looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Labak slips a straight right by Rumlow.
Labak takes one on the button.
Labak throws a jab but it's blocked by Rumlow.
Rumlow scores with a crisp jab that stopped Labak in his tracks.


It looks like Kabal Labak has been cut.
Labak gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rumlow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Labak can do to turn this around?

Rumlow throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rumlow lands a nice leg kick that just misses Labak's sensitive parts.

Labak tightens his grip and picks Rumlow up, before dumping him to the ground. Rumlow manages to land in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brock Rumlow will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rumlow, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
