These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

DeBramalo connects with a leg kick. Monteban looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
DeBramalo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
DeBramalo thows a left - swing and a miss!

DeBramalo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Monteban takes a swing at DeBramalo's ribcage but misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Monteban isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. DeBramalo stacks Monteban on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by DeBramalo!

Monteban ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Monteban thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on DeBramalo if he has to take too many more of those.
DeBramalo shoots in looking for a takedown. Monteban tries to sprawl out of it but DeBramalo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Monteban manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Monteban lands a nice shot that snaps DeBramalo's head back.

Some bone on bone action there as Monteban checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
DeBramalo wants to land a leg kick but Monteban is out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for DeBramalo. That snapped Monteban's head back.
DeBramalo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Monteban.
DeBramalo throws a leg kick which misses Monteban's front leg but catches the back leg as Monteban tries to avoid it.
Monteban shoots in for a double leg but DeBramalo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

DeBramalo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Monteban connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! DeBramalo scrambles back to his feet.

DeBramalo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Monteban defends it easily.
DeBramalo wants to sweep here but Monteban controlling him for the moment.
DeBramalo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Monteban is looking for a triangle here but DeBramalo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Monteban tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but DeBramalo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Monteban is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked DeBramalo off and has taken his back!
DeBramalo covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

DeBramalo is in a bad position with Monteban working for a choke. DeBramalo manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
DeBramalo tries to free his leg and advance position but Monteban is retaining full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quentin DeBramalo.
