The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Anderson.
Anderson misses with the combination.
Gates will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Anderson shoots in and bounces Gates off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Anderson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gates's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gates can't keep his opponent in guard - Anderson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Anderson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Anderson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Gates tries to improve his position but Anderson has taken his back! Anderson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Gates tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Anderson pushes Gates away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
