Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Piet Kriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vaino Siitaari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siitaari swings for the body but Kriel moves out of range.
Kriel throws a hook but Siitaari avoids it easily.
Kriel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Siitaari moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A little jabbing left from Siitaari on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Siitaari throws a body shot but no joy.
Siitaari looks to throw the jab but Kriel is out of range.
Kriel looks for the body kick but Siitaari saw that one coming.
It seemed like Siitaari was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Siitaari tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Siitaari accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Let's hope that Siitaari has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Siitaari content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Kriel has locked up a guillotine! Kriel's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Siitaari is holding on here and Kriel must be using up a lot of energy. Siitaari has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kriel gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
