The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhew misses with a two punch combination.
Darren Mayhew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mayhew smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Walter Herman has been cut.
Mayhew throws a sloppy head kick and Herman moves out of range easily.

Mayhew tries to pull guard but Herman holds him up against the cage and eventually Mayhew drops back down to his feet.

Herman shoots in for a takedown but Mayhew shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Herman goes for a double leg but Mayhew avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mayhew continues to drive forward.

Despite the aggression on Herman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Mayhew looks to land a body kick but Herman moved away.
Sloppy strikes from Mayhew. Those never looked like landing.
Mayhew is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Mayhew goes for a double leg but Herman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Herman continues to drive forward.

A nice side step and Herman releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Mayhew moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Herman ducks right into an uppercut from Mayhew.
Mayhew tries to clinch there but Herman circles away.
Herman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mayhew connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Herman scrambles back to his feet.

and Mayhew counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Mayhew drops Herman with a naaaaasty hook - Herman is in real trouble here! Mayhew dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
