With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ozamataz Buckshank!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Glass Joe!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckshank scores with the left hand. Joe knows he should have avoided that one.
Joe shoots in for a takedown but Buckshank shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Buckshank moves forwards but Joe connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Buckshank blocks a head kick by Joe.
Joe connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Joe ducks under a wild hook from Buckshank.
It seemed like Joe was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Joe looks to score with a jab to the body but Buckshank is just out of range.

We've been told by Buckshank's head coaches at Signature Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Buckshank uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Buckshank fakes the leg kick and cracks Joe in the body.
Buckshank slaps away a takedown attempt from Joe, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ozamataz Buckshank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glass Joe.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Buckshank moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joe takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Joe has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Buckshank, as that shot connected.

Buckshank tries to sprawl but Joe drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Joe throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Buckshank to regain full guard.
Joe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Buckshank swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Joe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Joe postures up in Buckshank's guard and throws a big left but Buckshank blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but Ozamataz Buckshank did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Glass Joe! Glass Joe retains his middleweight title!
After the fight, Glass Joe was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
