Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ante Pavelic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Steamboat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steamboat comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lorde - Tennis Court kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steamboat drives through with a takedown into guard.
Steamboat works a leg free and moves into half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Steamboat working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Pavelic looks like he's trying to stand up.
Steamboat is nestled in close to Pavelic, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Steamboat scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Steamboat connects with a nice short shot to Pavelic's temple.
Steamboat tries to pass to full mount but Pavelic defends it.
Pavelic has hold of Steamboat's hands but Steamboat slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Steamboat lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Pavelic is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Steamboat scores with a couple of nice shots.

Pavelic is rocked!
Steamboat winds up and cracks Pavelic with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oh Pavelic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steamboat is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Steamboat lands a big elbow - Pavelic is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Steamboat!
