Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcel Cavendish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Malone!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavendish jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Malone unleashes a big counter combination but Cavendish bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Malone drops his hands momentarily and Cavendish takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cavendish throws a lazy uppercut
and Malone counters with a leg kick.
Malone fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cavendish has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Malone connects with a stiff jab that staggers Cavendish - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Frankie Malone!
After winning the bout, Frankie Malone thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
