Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Art Vanderlay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ed Driver!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Driver bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vanderlay's head.


It looks like Art Vanderlay has been cut.
Vanderlay has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rabid Dog in the buildup to the fight.
Vanderlay moves out of range of the strikes.
Vanderlay seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Vanderlay blocks a jab.
Vanderlay tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Driver manages to circle out of the way.
Driver throws an overhand right that lands on Vanderlay's shoulder, as Vanderlay tries to avoid the shot.
Driver lands a really nice looking cross but Vanderlay seems unphased.
Vanderlay uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Driver.
Driver lands a jab to the head.
Driver getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Vanderlay is rocked!
Driver takes a swing at Vanderlay's ribcage but misses.
Vanderlay feinted with a counter takedown.
Driver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Driver connects with a body shot that sends Vanderlay's belly button to the back.
A telegraphed right hand from Driver misses the target.

Vanderlay shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Vanderlay keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Driver's head.

Driver has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Vanderlay is on him like a limpet, forcing Driver back against the cage.

Driver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Driver throws a series of punches but Vanderlay moves out of range.
Driver misses with a wild combination.
Vanderlay half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Vanderlay avoids the body shot from Driver.

Driver misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vanderlay tries to close the distance and clinch up but Driver swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Driver tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vanderlay was well out of range. Poor timing from Driver.
Driver throws a jab but it's blocked by Vanderlay.
Vanderlay attempts a counter takedown but Driver avoids it well and moves away.
Driver throws a combination that misses

and Vanderlay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Driver's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vanderlay looking to pass the guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Driver regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Vanderlay.
Driver is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vanderlay working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Driver's head.
Vanderlay tries to free his leg and advance position but Driver is retaining full guard.
Vanderlay won't allow Driver to get back to his feet.
Vanderlay stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Driver swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ed Driver will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Art Vanderlay's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vanderlay walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Driver looks to land a left hand but Vanderlay moved out of range nicely.
Vanderlay appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Driver swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vanderlay moves away from the strike by Driver.
