Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obelix De Gaul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Constantine Kermit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Gaul comes to the cage accompanied by Asterix and Obelix. This should be a great matchup!

With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Constantine Kermit!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as De Gaul lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kermit doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Constantine Kermit has been cut.
We've been informed that Kermit has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
De Gaul just misses with a punch to the body.

De Gaul fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kermit checks it well.

Obelix De Gaul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from De Gaul lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kermit has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kermit and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and De Gaul takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

De Gaul throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from De Gaul.
Kermit lands with a nice body punch.

De Gaul throws a right and a left that both miss.
De Gaul throws a leg kick but Kermit sees it coming and moves out of range.
And Kermit responds with a good body kick, but De Gaul manages to step out the way in time.

De Gaul fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kermit looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

De Gaul looks to land a body kick but Kermit moved away.
De Gaul wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
De Gaul cracks Kermit with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
De Gaul tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kermit was well out of range. Poor timing from De Gaul.
Kermit appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
De Gaul misses with a straight left.
De Gaul throws a lazy uppercut
and Kermit counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
De Gaul misses with a body kick.
Kermit is trying to counter with his kicks.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! De Gaul crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kermit - the referee stops the clock and De Gaul gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kermit. De Gaul manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
