Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Vick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Musashi comes to the cage accompanied by Sword of the Stranger - Mukoh Hadan. Vick has chosen 5 Am In Toronto as his entrance music. Gray Vick has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gray Vick!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vick walks into a left hand.
Musashi just misses with a punch to the body.
Vick tries to clinch up but Musashi circles away and keeps his distance.
A quick step to the side and Musashi tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vick shoots in for a takedown but Musashi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
It looked like Musashi was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Vick.
Musashi ducks under a wild hook from Vick.
Musashi fires out a quick counter leg kick but Vick just manages to avoid it.
Vick tries to clinch there but Musashi circles away.
Musashi ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Vick misses with an uppercut.
It looked like Musashi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vick takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Vick closes the distance and pushes Musashi back into the cage.
Musashi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Vick is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Vick lands a left hand that snaps the head of Musashi backwards.

Vick's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Musashi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Musashi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Musashi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Musashi lands a jab to Vick's midsection.
Vick tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Musashi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Musashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Gray Vick has been cut.
Vick ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Musashi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Vick rushes Musashi and presses him up against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Musashi walks away with a smile on his face. Vick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ryu Musashi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Vick.
Musashi throws a lazy right hand but Vick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vick wants to counter with a clinch but Musashi pushes him away.

Musashi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Vick tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Musashi swats away the attempt to clinch by Vick.
Musashi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

A little feinted left hand from Musashi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Vick misses with a shot to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryu Musashi dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gray Vick's cut.

A chopping leg kick lands by Musashi.
Vick tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The fighters circle momentarily. Musashi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Vick closes the distance and clinches.
Vick throws a head punch that misses.
Vick blocks a body shot from Musashi.
Musashi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Musashi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Musashi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Musashi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Musashi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vick can do to turn this around?
Vick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A jab from Musashi finds it's way through Vick's defenses.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Musashi! Vick is out on his feet! Musashi rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Vick is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Vick is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

After the fight, Ryu Musashi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Gray Vick spoke after the fight, saying 'I know a lot of things were said before the fight, but it's all business...I'm humble in victory and defeat. You have my respect.'.
