Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valdis Visvaldis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo has chosen I am a Nightmare Walking as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Valdis Visvaldis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Halo!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As Halo looks to move away, Visvaldis throws a big counter combo but Halo just gets out of the way.
Halo throws a sloppy head kick and Visvaldis moves out of range easily.
Valdis Visvaldis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Visvaldis takes one to the chin there.
Visvaldis is looking to clinch.
Visvaldis throws a head kick but Halo moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Halo.
Halo misses with a leg kick.
Visvaldis misses with a body kick.
Visvaldis throws a lazy head kick
and Halo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Visvaldis lands a nice looking kick to the body. Halo takes a step back to recover.
Visvaldis closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Visvaldis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Halo lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Visvaldis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Halo scores with a body shot.
Visvaldis throws a leg kick but Halo moved away.
Halo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Visvaldis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Halo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Halo moves out of range of the body kick.
Visvaldis misses with a body shot.
Visvaldis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Halo checks the leg kick nicely there.
Visvaldis misses with a low kick.
Visvaldis throws a head kick that half lands.
Visvaldis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Visvaldis throws a lazy head kick
and Halo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Visvaldis lunges at Halo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Halo's hand.

Halo has closed the distance and engaged Visvaldis in a clinch.
Halo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Visvaldis blocks it with crossed arms.
Visvaldis with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Halo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
I was talking to Visvaldis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Halo blocks an uppercut.
Visvaldis is trying to break the clinch but Halo is controlling him.
Halo lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Visvaldis wants to break the clinch but can't.
Visvaldis takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Valdis Visvaldis has been cut.
Halo crunches a lovely knee into Visvaldis's ribcage.
Visvaldis stalling in the clinch.
Visvaldis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Halos head.
Halo keeps control of Visvaldis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Visvaldis working hard to break the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Visvaldis's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Visvaldis is trying to force a seperation but Halo has the dominant position.
Halo presses Visvaldis against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Visvaldis looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Halo stalls.
Halo unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Visvaldis wants to stall.
Halo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Visvaldis backwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Halo keeps control of Visvaldis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Visvaldis working hard to break the clinch.
Visvaldis misses with some punches.
Halo lands with a left to the head.
Halo lands a damaging elbow.
Visvaldis lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Halo just leaning against Visvaldis, taking a breather.

Visvaldis breaks the clinch.
Halo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Visvaldis's head.
Visvaldis moves out of range of the body kick.
Visvaldis throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A little jabbing left from Halo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Halo circles away from the clinch attempt

and Halo counters with a head kick that drops Visvaldis to the mat! Visvaldis scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Visvaldis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Halo lands a big head kick that sends Visvaldis tumbling to the mat! Halo takes a step backwards and waves Visvaldis back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Visvaldis is rocked!
Halo blocks a head kick by Visvaldis.
Oh Visvaldis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Visvaldis takes one on the button.
Halo lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Visvaldis crumples to the floor! Halo milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Gabriel Halo!
