PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arzlan Bathory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacks Sole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bathory comes to the cage accompanied by Brain Scan. Jacks Sole told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sole throws a looping overhand right but Bathory ducks down to avoid it.
An attempted straight right counter from Bathory misses the target.
Bathory throws a lazy right hand but Sole sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sole connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bathory throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bathory misses with a body shot
and Sole cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sole shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bathory throws a jab when Sole was well out of range.
Sole lands a head shot.
Bathory lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sole dodges the punch combination from Bathory.
Sole on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sole avoids the body shot from Bathory.
A lazy left from Sole finds it's target.
A combination from Sole does no damage.
Sole takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

A shot to the liver by Sole. Beautiful body shot.
Sole throws a right and a left that Bathory avoids nicely.
Bathory tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sole lands with a thumping leg kick.
Sole throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bathory counters with a nice uppercut.
Sole fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bathory buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sole takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sole on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bathory. Bathory obviously looking to wear him down.
Bathory has been working on his boxing with his coaches at World Combat Sports Academy in the buildup to the fight.
Sole moves out of range as Bathory strikes.
Sole cracks Bathory with an open hand slap.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sole throws a front kick aimed at Bathory's knee but Bathory avoids it well.
Bathory feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Bathory misses with a jab to the body
and Sole counters with a body kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for Sole.
Sole cracks Bathory with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Arzlan Bathory has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A cross from Sole lands.
Sole throws a quick inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sole.
Bathory throws a head kick that misses.
Sole feints the counter takedown.
Sole tries a head kick but it misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sole has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bathory. Sole does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sole jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sole walks into a straight right hand from Bathory.
Sole listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Sole scores with a sloppy right hand. Bathory should have avoided that one.

Bathory is rocked!
Sole closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Bathory out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
