The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersson throws a sloppy head kick and Darko moves out of range easily.
Darko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Darko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Andersson but Andersson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Darko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Andersson's half guard.

Darko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Andersson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Darko is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Darko is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Andersson is defending against the submission attempts here by Darko.

Darko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Andersson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Andersson tries to bench press Darko off him but Darko keeps the position.

Darko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Darko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Darko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Andersson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Andersson is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Andersson can't do much from the bottom here.

Darko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Andersson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Darko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Darko is working to tighten his grip on Andersson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Andersson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Darko is really squeezing tight and eventually Andersson passes out! Darko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
