Akhmedov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Jason Derulo - . The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Rangers dives in and grabs Akhmedov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Akhmedov pushes down on O Rangers's head and hops out.
Akhmedov lands with a straight right. O Rangers didn't see that one coming.

O Rangers changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Akhmedov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from O Rangers.

Akhmedov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
O Rangers drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Akhmedov defends it well.

O Rangers's coach down at Tōshi was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on O Rangers's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

O Rangers stalks Akhmedov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Akhmedov's face. Akhmedov staggers backwards, shaken.

O Rangers uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Akhmedov.

Akhmedov gets caught napping as O Rangers dives in and scores a takedown. Akhmedov manages to retain guard.

It looked like Akhmedov was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

And O Rangers tries to counter it with a takedown but Akhmedov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The fight stays on the outside here - Akhmedov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Omari Akhmedov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
O Rangers is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akhmedov.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
