Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tantalus Flay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flay has chosen Outerspace- Revolution as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tantalus Flay!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flay slips under a jab from Beast.
Flay misses with a hook
letting Beast counter with a right hand.
Flay connects with a body shot that sends Beast's belly button to the back.
Flay throws a right and a left that Beast avoids nicely.
A slow jab from Flay misses its intended target.
Flay lands with a hook. Beast tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nice shot lands for Flay.
Flay swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
An attempted straight right counter from Beast misses the target.
Flay gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Beast misses the shot to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Beast darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd cheers as Flay lands an impressive looking overhand right. Beast doesn't seem phased though.

Flay takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Beast fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Flay manages to avoid it.
Flay throws a hook but Beast avoids it easily.

Flay fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Beast is out of range.
As Flay backs away, Beast returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Beast misses with an attempted mid kick.
Flay with the counter takedown but Beast avoids it easily.
Beast stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Flay.
Flay looks to land a left hand but Beast moved out of range nicely.
Beast misses with a low kick as Flay jumps back.
Flay throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Flay throws a jab but it's blocked by Beast.
A combination from Flay does no damage.
Flay pivots, looking for a leg kick but Beast is out of range and Flay settles back down.
Tantalus Flay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beast checks the leg kick nicely there.
Flay lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Beast ducks under a wild hook from Flay.

Beast fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Flay on the side of the head.

Billy Beast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good exchange - Beast coming out on top.
Beast loads up on a big right hand but Flay slips the punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Beast.
Flay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Beast connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Flay scrambles back to his feet.

Beast misses with a body kick.

Flay shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flay showed some decent athleticism there.
Flay not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Beast is trying to get back to full guard.
Flay is trying to control the action in half guard but Beast is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flay landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Flay is trying to control the action in half guard but Beast is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Flay winds up and cracks Beast with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Flay wants to control from the top but Beast keeps moving.
Flay postures up in Beast's guard and throws a big left but Beast blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Beast misses with an uppercut.
Flay buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Beast slips under a jab.
Flay lands with an uppercut that bounces Beast off the cage and back into range.
Beast blocks a jab.
Flay has his takedown stuffed
and Beast counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Beast bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Flay's head backwards.
A clash of legs there as Flay blocks the low kick.
Beast with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Beast lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Flay at a distance.
Beast shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Beast dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Flay. That did some damage!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Flay lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Flay throws a hook but Beast blocks it.
Flay scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Flay throws out a loose jab but Beast uses good head movement to avoid it.
Flay misses with a low kick.
Flay takes a swing at Beast's ribcage but misses.
Flay swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Beast counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Flay ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Flay misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Beast.
Flay moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Flay moves out of range as Beast strikes.
Beast lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Beast throws a head kick but Flay moves out of range.
Flay tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A jab from Flay misses.
Beast connects with a leg kick. Flay looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Flay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Flay looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Beast with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Flay has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Beast is looking for a sweep. Flay is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Flay is taking a breather. Beast says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Beast has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flay is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Tantalus Flay.
I think Flay has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
