Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dack Fayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Jalkalukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jalkalukko is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jordan Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dack Fayden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesse Jalkalukko!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fayden lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jalkalukko fails with a takedown attempt.
Fayden looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jalkalukko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fayden sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jalkalukko somewhat.
Jalkalukko throws a leg kick
and Fayden connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fayden avoids the head kick by Jalkalukko.

Jalkalukko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Fayden defends well and Jalkalukko ends up having to push Fayden into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dack Fayden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Jalkalukko.

Fayden swings for the body but Jalkalukko moves out of range.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fayden is defended easily by Jalkalukko.
It seemed like Jalkalukko was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jalkalukko misses with a low kick as Fayden jumps back.
Jalkalukko throws a head kick that Fayden semi-blocks.
Jalkalukko moves out of range as Fayden strikes.

Jalkalukko closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fayden did well to prevent Jalkalukko getting side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fayden is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fayden wants to control but Jalkalukko is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jalkalukko is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Jalkalukko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fayden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jalkalukko is aware though and is defending well.
Fayden controls Jalkalukko momentarily but Jalkalukko frees himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jalkalukko is on top in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dack Fayden will probably get the nod.

Jalkalukko has his takedown stuffed

and Fayden counters with a shoot takedown. Jalkalukko fights it but they end up in guard.
Fayden's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Fayden throws a big elbow that misses.
Fayden is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jalkalukko can do to turn this around?

Jalkalukko pulls Fayden in close to prevent any damage.
Fayden wants to control from the top but Jalkalukko keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jalkalukko holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sloppy strikes from Fayden. Those never looked like landing.
Jalkalukko throws a sloppy head kick and Fayden moves out of range easily.
Fayden appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Fayden avoids the head kick by Jalkalukko.
It looked like Fayden wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Horrible takedown attempt by Fayden or perhaps it was just good defense by Jalkalukko, which made it look bad.

Jalkalukko throws out a loose jab but Fayden uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fayden is looking to clinch but Jalkalukko is avoiding it.
Jalkalukko shoots in for a takedown but Fayden shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fayden creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Jalkalukko goes for a takedown attempt but Fayden pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fayden got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jalkalukko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fayden has managed to get both his arms back between Jalkalukko's legs - danger averted.
Jalkalukko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Jalkalukko swings for the body but Fayden moves out of range.
Fayden jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jalkalukko is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Jalkalukko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jalkalukko darts in looking for a takedown but Fayden gets double underhooks and turns Jalkalukko into the cage.
Fayden changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Fayden smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Jalkalukko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fayden takes a swing at Jalkalukko's ribcage but misses.
Fayden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jalkalukko tries to avoid it but Fayden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jalkalukko to the ground. Jalkalukko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jalkalukko throws a leg kick but Fayden checks it.
Jalkalukko takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


Jalkalukko is rocked!
Fayden is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Fayden drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Jalkalukko right on the button. Jalkalukko goes down! Fayden follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Fayden gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dack Fayden!
