PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ligerito Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Jose De La Cus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose De La Cus has chosen FKA Twigs - Two Weeks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Jose De La Cus!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jose De La Cus gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jr to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jr won't allow Jose De La Cus to sweep him here.
Jose De La Cus has momentary wrist control but Jr slips an elbow through the middle.
Jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jose De La Cus thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jr is pulling down on Jose De La Cus's head. It's preventing any offense from Jose De La Cus, at least for the moment.

Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jose De La Cus's guard.

Jr looks up at the clock and then as Jose De La Cus takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jr smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Jose De La Cus is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jr connects with a decent elbow.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jr lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jose De La Cus down.
Jose De La Cus pushes Jr away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jr gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
