The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griff moves into the clinch successfully.
Griff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Griff feints and as Geldof raises his hands in defense, Griff changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griff forces his way into half guard.
Geldof wants to control but Griff passes into side.
Griff works to advance to full mount. Geldof defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griff is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Griff extends the arm and Geldof is forced to tap!
