Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Schelokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malcolm Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schelokov comes to the cage accompanied by Sirens . Mitchell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Joe Jackson- I'm the Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Malcolm Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schelokov throws a big shot that misses.
Mitchell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mitchell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Schelokov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mitchell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mitchell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mitchell trying to control the position but Schelokov is working away.
Schelokov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Mitchell has knee on belly and moves into mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mitchell thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The referee warns Schelokov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Schelokov manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Schelokov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mitchell pulls his head out easily.
Schelokov actively working from the bottom here.
Schelokov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mitchell is looking to take a break and control but Schelokov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mitchell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Schelokov is rocked!
Schelokov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mitchell scores with a couple of nice shots.
Oh Schelokov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mitchell perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mitchell lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Schelokov quite badly. Schelokov pulls Mitchell in close trying to recover. Mitchell postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Schelokov on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Schelokov doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malcolm Mitchell!
