Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Count Chocula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mashrafe Mortaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mashrafe Mortaza has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Count Chocula's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Count Chocula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mashrafe Mortaza!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortaza walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chocula uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mortaza feints and as Chocula raises his hands in defense, Mortaza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chocula wants to get back to his feet but Mortaza is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chocula is looking to stand back up but Mortaza counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Chocula.
Chocula pushes Mortaza off looking to stand but Mortaza dives back in and keeps control.
Mortaza wants to free his trapped foot but Chocula is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Mortaza stops Chocula from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chocula avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mortaza.
Chocula looks like he's trying to stand up.
Chocula trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Chocula won't allow Mortaza to pass to mount.

Mortaza is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Chocula is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Mortaza is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chocula can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Chocula's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Mortaza throws some wild stikes that Chocula manages to avoid easily.
Chocula wants to get back to his feet.

Chocula is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Chocula on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Chocula tries to get out of the position.
Chocula is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Mortaza has hold of Chocula's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chocula manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mortaza throwing strikes here but Chocula is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mortaza looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Chocula is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mortaza asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Chocula knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mortaza on the ground.
Mortaza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chocula is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mortaza has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Mortaza has an Americana. Chocula didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mortaza is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mortaza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mashrafe Mortaza!
