Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Looped (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hernandez's entrance music is Spain's National Anthem. A fine choice. Jose Hernandez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Hernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Magnus Looped!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Looped. No joy for Hernandez on that attempt.

Looped closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hernandez quickly recovers to half guard.

Looped tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hernandez knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Looped creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Looped is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hernandez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Looped tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Looped has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Hernandez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Looped is controlling him well.

Looped scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hernandez to see if he's OK.

Looped fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hernandez to the ground. Looped is now in Hernandez's guard.

Looped postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hernandez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Looped, into his guard.

Looped pulls Hernandez in close to his closed guard and prevents Hernandez from doing any damage or advancing position.

and Hernandez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Looped throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hernandez was covering up waiting for the punch and Looped finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Hernandez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Looped gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Looped trying to control the position from guard on top but Hernandez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Looped is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Looped seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hernandez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Looped defends it easily.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Magnus Looped showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Looped has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hernandez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Looped swivels and escapes.

Hernandez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Looped postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hernandez can't keep his opponent in guard - Looped advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hernandez is trying to get back to full guard.
Looped uses his free foot to push down on Hernandez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hernandez.

Looped working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hernandez turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Looped off and cradles Hernandez's limp body as Looped celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Magnus Looped!
Magnus Looped spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
