PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arshnoor Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noob Saibot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 2Pac - Hit 'Em Up. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arshnoor Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noob Saibot!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Saibot misses with a lunging right hand
and Singh counters with a nice leg kick.
A combination from Saibot does no damage.
Singh keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Saibot throws out a loose jab but Singh uses good head movement to avoid it.
Singh misses with a looping left.
A big left from Singh misses.

Saibot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Singh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We've been hearing good reports from Singh's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Saibot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Saibot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Singh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Singh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Singh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Singh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Saibot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Saibot has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Forcefield Ludas. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Saibot lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Saibot takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Noob Saibot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Saibot has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Singh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Saibot.

Well Saibot has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
