Sepulveda comes into the arena with Llorando se Fue blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cale Downes!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sepulveda lands with a nice combination. Downes backs away looking to recover.
Sepulveda connects with a crisp jab.
Sepulveda tries to bum rush Downes with a series of wild strikes but Downes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A lazy left from Sepulveda finds it's target.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Downes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sepulveda defends it well.

Downes is working for a kimura but Sepulveda is defending it quite comfortably.

Downes misses with a takedown attempt - Sepulveda sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sepulveda connects with a good right hand that stumbles Downes. Downes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sepulveda scores with a jab to the jaw.
Sepulveda cracks Downes with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Downes tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Sepulveda pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Downes is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alejandro Sepulveda!
After the fight, Alejandro Sepulveda was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
