Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tribbiani Joey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yonglong Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Joey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Clasic Sofl Rock. Yonglong Li is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joey dives in and scores a takedown into Li's guard.
Li wants to get back to his feet but Joey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Li looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Joey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Li's guard.
Li wants to control but Joey is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Joey is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joey is looking for a kimura but Li is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Joey to get the leverage.

Joey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Li tries to get to full guard but Joey has control of the leg.
Li is in trouble now - Joey has advanced to mount!
Li can't escape the position.
Joey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Joey has control of Li's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Li regains control of the situation pretty easily.

You get the feeling that Li really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joey is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Li has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Joey has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Li taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Joey doesn't care though - he's delighted!

After winning the bout, Tribbiani Joey thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
