Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jorge Morueco!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Morueco misses
and Bjorkman counters with a straight right hand.
Morueco throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've been told by Bjorkman's head coaches at The Fallen Warriors Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Morueco connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bjorkman throws a looping overhand right but Morueco ducks down to avoid it.

Morueco misses with a low kick.
Bjorkman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Morueco throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Morueco forces Bjorkman back against the cage and clinches.

Morueco comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Morueco manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bjorkman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Morueco is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bjorkman defends well.

Morueco has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bjorkman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morueco is on top in guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Morueco won't allow Bjorkman to sweep him here.
Morueco drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morueco jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Morueco drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Morueco as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bjorkman screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Morueco! Nice submission victory there!
