Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julio Cesar Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liquid Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liquid Gold!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold is looking to score with low kicks.
Gold throws an off balance right hand
and Chavez counters with a nice uppercut.
Gold does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A quick step to the side and Chavez tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gold lands a nice hook to Chavez's body. Chavez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Chavez throws a shot from downtown. Gold moves away and avoids it.
Gold looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Gold tries to bum rush Chavez with a series of wild strikes but Chavez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gold looks to land a combination but Chavez avoids it well.
Liquid Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gold tries to work over Chavez's front leg with a kick but Chavez checks it.
Gold throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
As Gold looks to move away, Chavez throws a big counter combo but Gold just gets out of the way.
Gold's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gold duly obliges.

Gold pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chavez back to the cage. Gold follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Chavez shoots in for a double leg but Gold sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A little jabbing left from Gold on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Chavez has been working on his balance at The gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Gold.

Chavez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gold was covering up waiting for the punch and Chavez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Gold throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chavez throws a quick counter kick to the body but Gold avoids it.
Chavez shoots in and drives through. Gold sprawls well.
Gold throws out a counter right but Chavez avoids it with no problem.

Gold walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chavez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Chavez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gold. Gold circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gold lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chavez's sensitive parts.

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Gold engages and cracks Chavez with a massive lead left hook - Chavez tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Gold is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
