The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimendahl misses with the combination.
Rivera fails with a takedown attempt.
Heimendahl thuds a left hand into Rivera's body.
Heimendahl slaps away a takedown attempt from Rivera, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rivera shoots in but no luck this time.
Thorbjorn Heimendahl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mountain Rivera.
Rivera looks winded!
Heimendahl feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rivera sprawling to the canvas! Rivera rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Heimendahl finish him?!
Rivera is rocked!
It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut.

Heimendahl lands a brutal uppercut that launches Rivera off his feet! Rivera tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
