Starius connects with a nice looking jab.
Starius looks to land a right hand but Silvestre moved out of range.

Silvestre misses with a hook. Starius ducked under it nicely.
Starius lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Starius throws a looping overhand right but Silvestre ducks down to avoid it.

Starius is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Silvestre with a body shot.
Lucian Silvestre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silvestre moves into the clinch.
Starius lands a left hand that snaps the head of Silvestre backwards.
Starius takes a shot to the head.
Silvestre blocks a body shot from Starius.
Starius working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Silvestre wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Starius has him pressed against the cage.

Starius lands a hook that snaps the head of Silvestre backwards.

Silvestre wants to get back to striking at distance but Starius won't allow it.
We've been informed that Starius has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Silvestre swings wildly with an uppercut but Starius uses good head movement to avoid it.
Silvestre looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Starius tries to throw a body punch but Silvestre avoids it by throwing Starius back against the cage.

Starius drops Silvestre onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Silvestre is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Silvestre is rocked!

Starius lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Silvestre to his knees! Starius keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
