Quick Fight Championship PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Freeman and Capt Kangaroo. Kangaroo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cryin' Like A Bitch-Godsmackack kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kangaroo throws a lazy body kick
and Freeman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Freeman digs a good body shot into Kangaroo's ribs.
Freeman connects with a nice looking jab.
Freeman scores with a punch to the head.
Kangaroo scores with a jab to the jaw.
Freeman scores with the left hand. Kangaroo knows he should have avoided that one.
Freeman cracks Kangaroo with a right hand to the side of the head.
We've been informed that Kangaroo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Freeman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kangaroo.

Capt Kangaroo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Freeman fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kangaroo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Freeman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
