Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kane Arona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Arona defends well and Cox ends up having to push Arona into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Cox throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arona's waist but Arona gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cox off to one side.

Cox drives through with a takedown into Arona's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Arona wants to sweep but no luck.
Cox's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Cox would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Cox passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Arona is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Cox jumps into side control!

Cox decides to stand back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cox is defended easily by Arona.
Kane Arona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Cox.

Cox shoots in looking for a takedown. Arona tries to sprawl out of it but Cox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arona manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cox takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Cox shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Arona napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Cox is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Arona will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Arona is looking for a sweep.
Arona is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Arona knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cox on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cox advances to mount.

Arona tries to improve his position but Cox has taken his back! Cox has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Arona tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Cox pushes Arona away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
