Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ras Li Judah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adi Dassler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Judah comes to the cage accompanied by Limb By Limb. Adi Dassler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ras Li Judah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Adi Dassler!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dassler fails with a takedown attempt.
Dassler looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Judah throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Adi Dassler has been cut.
Dassler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Judah throws out a leg kick but Dassler moves out of range and Judah only half commits.
Judah lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dassler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Judah is fending him off so far but Dassler persists. Nope, Judah circles away and we're back to standing.
Ras Li Judah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adi Dassler.

Judah throws an off balance right hand
and Dassler counters with a slapping leg kick.
Judah throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dassler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Judah but Judah pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Judah misses with a straight right.

Dassler moves into the clinch.

Dassler lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Judah moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dassler postures up in Judah's guard and throws a big left but Judah blocks it.

Dassler postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dassler wants to pass the guard but Judah is keeping the position.

Judah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dassler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dassler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dassler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

That was a close round but I would say that Ras Li Judah will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Judah tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dassler is able to avoid easily.

Dassler follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Ras Li Judah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dassler darts in looking for a takedown but Judah gets double underhooks and turns Dassler into the cage.
Dassler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Judah but Judah pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dassler closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Judah lands a leg kick that knocks Dassler off balance momentarily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Judah. That's going to slow Dassler down.

Dassler walks into a stiff left hand from Judah.

Dassler closes the distance and clinches.
Dassler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Judah is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ras Li Judah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adi Dassler.
Judah throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Dassler is working for takedown but Judah is calmly controlling the position for now.
Dassler wants to take the fight to the mat but Judah manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dassler is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Judah lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Judah lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Judah throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dasslers head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Judah is pressed up against the cage. Dassler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Judah down to the mat. Judah avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Dassler ducks under a wild hook from Judah.
Judah lands with a thumping leg kick.
Judah shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Dassler shoots in looking for a takedown. Judah tries to sprawl out of it but Dassler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Judah manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Judah pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Dassler with the counter takedown but Judah avoids it easily.

and Judah counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Judah scores with a hook to the body. Dassler takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Judah tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dassler was well out of range. Poor timing from Judah.
Judah is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dassler.

Judah throws a shot from downtown. Dassler moves away and avoids it.
And Dassler tries to counter it with a takedown but Judah pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Dassler shoots in for a double leg but Judah sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Judah misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Dassler counters with a nice double leg into side control. Judah won't be happy with that.

Judah is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Zoo, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dassler is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Judah sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Judah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dassler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Judah pulls Dassler in close to his closed guard and prevents Dassler from doing any damage or advancing position.
Dassler throws a strike but Judah rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Dassler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Judah doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Judah manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dassler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Judah controls the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Judah got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dassler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Judah has managed to get both his arms back between Dassler's legs - danger averted.
Judah is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dassler can do to turn this around?

Dassler has his foot on Judah's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Judah works his way back into a safe position though.
Dassler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Judah postures up and lands a big shot to Dassler's brow.
Judah is stalling in the full guard.
Judah cracks Dassler with a solid left hand.

Dassler has momentary wrist control but Judah slips an elbow through the middle.
Adi Dassler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ras Li Judah is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ras Li Judah.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Judah, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
