Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Borhan Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Sandow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandow has chosen Aint No Grave as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Borhan Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damien Sandow!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sandow has his foot on Khan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khan works his way back into a safe position though.

Khan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sandow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Khan defends it easily.

Khan stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Khan wants to stand but Sandow has his arm trapped.
Sandow sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Khan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sandow defends it well.

Khan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sandow is just riding it out for now. Khan eventually gives up the hold.

Khan is looking for a kimura but Sandow is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Khan to get the leverage.

Sandow has his foot on Khan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khan works his way back into a safe position though.

Sandow is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sandow working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Our spies down at at Bloodsport Gym 16 Elites inform us that Sandow has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Khan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Khan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Khan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Khan is trying to work for a kimura but Sandow is defending well.

Sandow is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khan pulls his head out easily.

Khan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Khan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Khan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sandow on his heels. He'll look to pass Sandow's guard now, I'm sure.

Oh but Sandow is tightening it up a little... Khan has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Khan reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Khan taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sandow!
