Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Rousee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kendrick Gentry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roman Rousee!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousee fails with an attempt to clinch.

Gentry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rousee sprawls well initially but Gentry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Rousee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gentry is working away from the top position though.
Rousee wants to get back to full guard.
Gentry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rousee on the ground.
Rousee is refusing to be controlled, as Gentry sits in half guard.

Rousee has one foot on Gentry's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rousee misses with a takedown attempt
and Gentry counters with a head kick. That will keep Rousee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Rousee motions for Gentry to come forward. Rousee throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gentry throws a big counter combination but Rousee scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Rousee closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gentry takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Rousee lands a nice forearm strike.

Gentry sneaks out the side door and pushes Rousee away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Rousee dives in and grabs Gentry's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gentry pushes down on Rousee's head and hops out.
Rousee throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

It looks like Kendrick Gentry has been cut.
Rousee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gentry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gentry attempts a counter takedown but Rousee avoids it well and moves away.
Rousee throws a leg kick but Gentry moved away.
As Rousee tries to get set, Gentry tries to push him back and clinch up but Rousee manages to avoid the attempt.

Gentry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rousee, pushing him back against the cage.
Gentry changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rousee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
A combination from Rousee does no damage.

Gentry instigates a clinch.
Rousee is trying to force a seperation but Gentry has the dominant position.
Gentry wants a takedown but no success here.

Gentry jumps guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rousee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rousee wants to pass the guard but Gentry is keeping the position.
Rousee pushes down on Gentry's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Rousee content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rousee seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Gentry is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
