Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ram Man Rijal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ram Man Rijal!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hare throws a head kick that misses.
Rijal ducks under a wild hook from Hare.
Rijal doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Hare throws a jab when Rijal was well out of range.

Rijal moves into range and clinches up with Hare.
Rijal has Hare pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hare manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hare tries to break the clinch but Rijal is controlling the position.

Hare pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hare falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rijal counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hare's knee momentarily.
Hare looks to land a right hand but Rijal moved out of range.
Hare misses with a straight left.
Rijal wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hare jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Hare. Those never looked like landing.

Rijal has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Rijal clinches up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rijal successfully pulls guard.

Rijal has his foot on Hare's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hare works his way back into a safe position though.
Rijal has a closed guard, preventing Hare from standing up.

Rijal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rijal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hare is aware though and is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hare stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Hare throws a lazy right hand but Rijal sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rijal changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rijal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Rijal decides to pull guard.
Hare has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rijal is proving hard to escape from.

Rijal is looking for a triangle but Hare pushes his legs off easily.

Rijal has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hare doesn't defend quickly enough and Rijal has managed to lock this one up! Can Hare escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Rijal on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ram Man Rijal!
During a confident post fight interview, Ram Man Rijal thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
